TIPS on Electricity 

Staying at the apartment can be so stressful if you don’t know how to manage the bills in your room. At Student Castle Apartment, you have PLN Prepaid. You can control the use of your electricity from the meter display on the box. Of course, you have to use the electricity efficiently. Use low voltage electricity will save a lot of your money. We pay attention on this. That’s why each electronic devices on the units are using low voltage and energy saving.

Saving your money for paying the bills on the apartment by doing these things:

1. Open up the curtains on the windows to let the lights enter the room. You can use vertical or horizontal blinds to give privacy in the room, but still letting lights are coming.
2. Expose natural lights by opening balcony door. This also allows natural wind come through the room. By doing this, you don’t need to turn on AC.
3. Use desk lamp if you need extra lighting while studying on the desk. You can use LED bulbs which don’t contain mercury and last longer as well. Perhaps LED bulbs are expensive than regular light bulbs, but in the long term you will save so much monthly electric bills since LED bulbs are using only 1/4 energy of incandescent bulbs. 
4. Turn off the lights if you are leaving the room. Having this habit is very easy. Don’t forget to check plug appliances as well. For instance: hand phone charger stays plug in will waste the energy. Don’t let other appliances like hair dryer, TV, computer, kitchen appliances etc plug all the day.
5. Use AC less frequently. If you want to use AC, you should start from the high temperature option first and let it works for several minutes then reducing the number of temperature step by step. This will let the temperature adapt slowly.
6. Turn off water heater if you don’t use it. Heating water will take a lot of energy. Some water heater needs several minutes before the water is being heated. Consider to turn on water heater when you would like to take shower only. 

By doing all of these things, you can save a lot of money and electricity.
